Job Summary
Carries out general, cost or sub-ledger accounting activities for a defined scope. This position reports to the Regional Controller.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare JE's and review month-end financials for accuracy
- Process adjusting entries and reclassifications as needed or directed by Controller and Plant Managers
- Perform inventory management by monitoring transactions, update general ledgers, gather and analyze data, and perform audits and assessments for multiple asphalt and aggregate plant business units
- Prepare and reconcile financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices, and other documents
- Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
- Assist with AP, AR job cost and payroll duties
- Assist with audit request
- Ad hoc duties assigned by the Controller
Education
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance
Skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability working with Microsoft Office products with advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
- Detailed oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills
