Senior Software Engineer

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer with solid experience Core Java, & Integration Patterns, running on Java/ Spring Boot Microservices framework, and experienced with front end frameworks such as AngularJS and/or ReactJS. Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

·Responsible for developing the micro services or SOAP/REST web services based on business requirements,

·Ability to implement Micro-Services using Spring Boot , 

·Deep background in Core Java, & Integration Patterns,

·Experience in working with continuous integration tools 

·Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects required. 

·Ability to work effectively with Customer business and project teams, management, and vendors with minimal supervision required. 

·Ability to work as a member of a team, as well as individual contributor, required. 

·Exposure to a broad range of project types, including new development, enhancements 

·Developing user interfaces using Angular best practices. 

·Adapting interface for modern internet applications using the latest front-end technologies. 

·Writing web or hybrid applications with AngularJS or Angular using Typescript, CSS, SCSS/SASS, and HTML. 

·Making complex technical decisions for AngularJS projects. 

·Developing application codes and unit tests in Angular and consuming the REST/GraphQL API or Web Services. 

·Conducting performance tests, Consulting with the design team. 

·Ensuring high performance of applications and providing support. 

·Discuss with customer business groups to understand functionality and come up with innovative ideas for web development for the best user experience.

Additional Responsibilities:

·Should be involving in the Grooming sessions.

·Should own the user stories development end to end.

·Should be able to provide technical assistance to the team,

·Should be able to take the responsibility of end to end to delivery.

·Should be able to collaborate with the offshore team.

Key Qualifications:

·Primary Skill Set - J2EE technologies: Java, JSP,, JAXB, JDBC

·Experience 10 to 12 years

·Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot

·Database & Database persistence : MongoDB, Azure SQL DB, Oracle, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning

·Streaming / Messaging : Kafka and/or IBM MQ

·Cloud-based development: Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google cloud

·Web Services: REST (JSON/XML)

·Front-end: Angular

·Build/deployment tools: Maven, Gradle, Git and GitHub, Jenkins/GitHub actions

·Testing frameworks: Junit, Mockito

·Secondary Skill Set - Web Servers: Tomcat, tcServer, Websphere

·Caching frameworks: Redis

·Cloud-based development: Microsoft Azure

·Streaming / Messaging : Apache Flink

·API: GraphQL

·ADO/Jira.

·Good to have - Other: Linux/Unix shell Scripting, JavaScript, IBM MQ/Rabbit MQ, Tivoli Scheduler, SQL Developer, IDE.

Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid 3 days at the Office 2 days from Home)

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
