Position Summary:

We’re looking for a passionate Quality Engineer with strong communication skills, knowledge, and experience in banking and financial services to perform quality engineering activities and focus on the delivery of valuable outcomes and ensures alignment to client and customer needs.

Mandatory Skills:

• Experience working with mainframe platforms and technologies including IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM and DB2.
• Experience working in mainframe testing tools and frameworks like IBM Rational Functional Tester or IBM Rational Integration Tester or similar.
• Experience working with scripting languages such as REXX, JCL or Perl for test automation on mainframe systems.
• Experience working with version control systems is a plus.
• Experience in core banking products like Hogan.
• Experience with agile project management tools such as JIRA/Confluence or HP ALM.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Expertise in design and implementation of test plans, test cases, test scripts for mainframe systems ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute manual and automated tests on mainframe applications, identifying defects, and verifying fixes to ensure software quality.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools for mainframe testing like IBM Rational Functional Tester or IBM Rational Integration Tester or similar.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders including recommendations for improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with mainframe developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on production systems.
• Stay up to date with mainframe technologies, testing methodologies and industry best practices and incorporate them into testing processes.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and other agile development activities to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the SDLC.

Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
