Lead Java/AWS Developer (On site)

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead with experience in Java and AWS, developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our Leads have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. Location: Plano, TX, US (On Site)

Responsibilities:

• Involve in different phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment.
• Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka).
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Contributes to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
• Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
• No-SQL database experience is good to have - DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
• Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins
• Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
• Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving
• Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $125K – $170K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
