Role: Senior JAVA Production Support Lead

Experience: 8 years

Location: The candidate must be ready to work onsite from the Client’s location in Omaha, NE. Remote work will not be allowed.

Must Have Skills

· Java Production Support

· SpringBoot

· API’s

· Angular

Roles & Responsibilities:

·Java, JavaEE, L2 Production Support responsibilities include debugging and developing/troubleshooting a solution.

·Have expertise and knowledge in Core Java, Spring framework like Spring MVC, Spring REST and Soap, Oracle and Hibernate.

·Experience with test-driven development, debugging skills, Strong problem-solving skills.

·Must knowledge in writing Splunk scripts and Unix shell script programs

·Must have experience in Production Support and handling OnCalls and multiple application and adhoc requests.

·Strong experience in Java, Java EE, Core Java, Spring REST, Spring MVC and SOAP development and debugging

·Proven working experience in Developer and Application support Role

·Hands-on experience in designing and developing/debugging applications using Java EE platforms

·Experience with Version Control Systems like SVN, GIT, TFS, etc..

·Identifying failed jobs, recovering batch processes, monitoring / writing Splunk alerts, Unix Shell scripts, identifying future problems.

·Ability to work with cross work stream teams.

·Ability to work with performance team to evaluate and resolve any performance related issues.

·Effective written and verbal communication skills and good listening skills

·A can-do-attitude and a strong passion for technology and willingness to learn new skills

·Confident, self-starter, have a strong work ethic, and team-oriented

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
