The Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) is seeking qualified service providers to be temporary on-call employees with the CCESA to provide county schools with the below services. School Psychology Services • Speech Therapy • Occupational Therapy • Physical Therapy • Behavioral Specialist • Professional Counselors, Special Education Teachers

Please note: Services are to be provided within the geographical area of Coconino County. This is a limited appointment position that is contingent upon grant funding through ESSER/BRYS and is anticipated to end no later than June 30, 2025.

Typical Duties

(Illustrative Only)

• Function as a school psychologist to administer extensive psycho-educational evaluations for all students referred for such evaluations and to compile data into complete psycho-educational reports with timely submission to the school district
• Participation in conferences with school staff members and parents relative to test findings and their interpretation
• Attend MET/IEP conferences and making appropriate recommendations
• Comply with all IDEA regulations and Arizona revised Statutes Sections 15-765-767
• Provide counseling to students and parents relative to academic, social and other personal problems
• Assist teachers and administrators in maintaining compliance with State and Federal mandates relative to special education

Minimum Qualifications

Current, valid psychological license issued by the Board of Psychologist examiners, OR, a current, valid school psychologist certificate issued by the Arizona State Board of Education.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must obtain an Arizona's Driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Final Job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory 5-year Arizona motor-vehicle report.
Preferred qualifications:5 years experience in the field, strong communication skills, strong writing skills, experience with IEPs, team player.
This position is exempt from overtime. Note:Individuals in exempt classifications as part time employees may be classified as non-exempt per FLSA law regarding minimum weekly salary requirements.
This position is safety sensitive.

State and Federal mandates relative to Special Education

MET/I.E.P. conference requirements
Skill in:
Functioning as a School Psychologist in administering extensive psycho-educational evaluations
Psycho-educational report writing
Ability in:
Time Management

Provide counseling to students, parents relative to academic, social and other personal problems
Assis teachers and administrators in maintaining compliance with State and Federal mandates
