Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical or dental office. If you have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply. Duties: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment - Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner - Collect patient information and update medical or dental records - Verify insurance coverage and process claims - Assist with billing and payment processing - Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office space - Provide administrative support to healthcare providers as required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical or dental administration is preferred - Proven experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical or dental office - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Proficient in using computer software for data entry, scheduling, and record keeping - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively - Compassionate and empathetic nature when dealing with patients - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
