Carriage Crossing Senior Living Marietta is Hiring a Memory Care Coordinator Near Marietta, GA

Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Marietta is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Memory Care Coordinator to assist in leading our clinical TEAM in providing quality person-centered care for our residents and to organize & oversee our Memory Care Department.

You will work to support a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies, along with a great team of directors who support one another in all aspects of residents' activities of daily living. There, all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for patients. The ideal Memory Care Coordinator would be a hard-working and compassionate healthcare professional who has steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what we are looking for to help our staff succeed and grow while our residents continue to thrive, and support our mission for seniors to Live the Life You Love! The goal is to foster a positive culture where we can support extraordinary people - staff, residents, families, and guests - and provide exceptional care that makes a difference in the lives of older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, oversee and evaluate frontline personal (CPs and MTs)
  • Organizes and conducts support groups for residents, including bereavement groups and groups for seniors experiencing depression
  • Assists residents in finding ways of adjusting to aging changes that will allow for a life style as comfortable as the situation will permit.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Effectively oversee the MC dept and resident care
  • Scheduling of frontline staff
  • Set objectives and long-term goals for the MC Dept
  • Assisting in admission and patient care procedures with Community Relations Director and Executive Director
  • Prepares and maintains written case records in concert with wellness department including, reports, and forms, performs case follow-up
  • Enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards.
  • Oversee dept budget
  • Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
  • Manage record-keeping procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
  • Report to upper management

Skills

  • Preferred but not required, Associates degree in gerontology/healthcare, medical, social or psychological field. • Ability to demonstrate company competencies and values.
  • Three to five year’s related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Prior knowledge and specific education related to Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to use reason and sound judgment
  • Proven experience as leader in an Assisted Living setting
  • Ideal knowledge of Assisted Living regulations under IDPH for compliance and best practices in healthcare
  • Some understanding of COVID regulations, reporting and infection control standards
  • Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • CPR certification

Note- This is an hourly position with supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
