Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our team. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and sanitized. Responsibilities: - Assist the kitchen staff in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assisting with cooking as needed - Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand - Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash bins - Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries - Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines Requirements: - Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred - Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Skills: - Food service experience - Banquet experience - Ability to help with cooking tasks - Strong cleaning skills - Knowledge of hotel/restaurant/catering kitchen operations - Bussing experience If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for the culinary arts and maintaining a clean working environment, we would love to hear from you.
