CobbFendley is seeking a Field Coordinator in Lacey, WA office.
Essential Functions:
- Locate aerial, buried, and underground utilities through nondestructive methods.
- Distinguish types of cabling and equipment on utility poles and must have knowledge of cable types and vendors.
- Document location of telephone poles and attachments.
- Locate and identify building utility entrance and exits.
- Identify and measure duct banks and riser conduits using butterfly/mapping technique.
- Operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
- Provide administrative support and permit coordination to professional staff in the office while directly supporting the Engineering and Subsurface Utility Groups.
- Prepare documents and facilitate permit request, applications, and the tracking of permits from approval to closeout.
- Assist with project deliverables, timesheets, expense reports in accordance with scheduled due dates.
- Must be able to meet department project deadlines which may include overtime.
- Filing and document preparation.
- Coordinator management calendar, schedule meetings, invitations, and calendar reminders.
- Preparing meeting rooms and locations with audio and visual equipment.
- Printing, copying, and binding materials for department.
- Participate in activities to develop knowledge of work environment including culture, business objectives, goals, operations, work challenges, and career opportunities within various departments.
- Provide excellent customer service to company employees, clients, and vendors over phone and through electronic communication.
- Ability to get CESCL Certified within 3 months for site inspections for construction water quality submittals.
- Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements
- Physical mobility in and around construction sites, traffic work zones, and other field assignments.
- Physical mobility including but not limited to hand-eye coordination, steadiness, upper/low body strength, control precision, stamina, multilimbed coordination, static strength, manual dexterity, oral comprehension and expression, and depth perception.
- Alert and responsive while working in lane closure zones adjacent to high volume average daily traffic
- Ability to lift, carry, pull/drag and balance equipment and supplies (up to 100 pounds) in remote, rural, or urban surroundings.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and walk long distances.
- Walking long distances (3 miles) and climbing on uneven surfaces.
- Climbing in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day and driving for extended periods of time.
- Repeated motions (e.g., reaching, bending, stooping, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling).
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
- Mobility within the warehouse (between floors and workstations), high-traffic areas, and walk surfaces.

Environmental Factors
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments (approximately 80% of duties to be performed outdoors in the field and 20% are performed indoors in the office/warehouse).
- Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions (i.e. hot and freezing temperatures).
- Use of electric power tools, cutting tools and other equipment.
- Driving large pick-up trucks with attached trailers (if applicable).
- Potential watercraft use.
- Noise exposure.
- Exposure to allergens including but not limited to poison ivy, sumac, dust, pollen, cedar, etc.
- Enter and work in confined spaces.
- Exposure to construction and traffic work zones.
- Extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.
Expected hours of work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Pay: $20 - $40 per hour:
Starting pay will be determined at the time of offer based on the experience, education, and training of the successful candidate.
