Credit Advancement Program Coodinator is responsible for supporting various functions related to the Credit Advancement Program (CAP) which is CoBank's formal 2 year credit training program. The CAP Program is designed to train and develop early career associates providing them with a foundational understanding of credit concepts, industry knowledge, and familiarity with CoBank specific processes and systems. This role will support the CAP Manager with onboarding, training and administrative tasks as needed. Consults with the Credit Management Group and lending division staff to accomplish responsibilities.
1. Supports the development and execution of the CAP program strategy. Engages collaboratively with key stakeholders including the CAP Manager, Credit Administration, CCO, CRO, CBO, CHRO and Credit leadership across lending dividions. Executes program modifications and improvements as identified. 2. Assists with the execution of the CAP program. Duties include working collaboratively to develop and maintain a consistent onboarding process for new hires which may exceed ten associates per year. Helps with organizing and coordinating the CAP rotation schedule in collaboration with CIS and various lending divisions to ensure adequate resources and workload are taken into consideration. Works closely with IT and administrative professionals to oversee the transition process between rotations for associates. Develops and maintains a system for monitoring program curriculum requirements for CAP program completion/graduation. 3. Supports the development of CAP associates throughout the duration of their tenure in the program. Development includes introduction to CoBank’s organizational structure, policies, and culture. May be asked to assist CIS with onboarding of new associates including training and reviewing financial statement spreading and loan documentation. Works closely with lending divisions to obtain credit actions to be used for introductory training purposes and assists CAP Manager with coaching associates through the credit process. Serves as an additional credit training resource for associates who are on rotation with lending divisions. 4. Responsible for administrative duties including time card and expense report approvals, granting system access, and relocation logistics for regional office rotations. Consults with Human Resources, CoBank Lending Division banking teams, the Credit Approvals Group and Senior Leadership of Credit Management for training, mentorship and guidance where needed. 5. Other responsibilities may include coordinating credit case studies with the Credit Approvals Group and lending divisions, coordinating guest speakers from various areas of the bank, collaborating with other divisions in the bank to provide job shadow or immersion opportunities for CAPs with specific interests in those areas, arranging customer visits with respective lending divisions, coordinating team events including CAP graduation, working with external vendors for corporate housing requests, coordinating content with internal and external training providers. 6. Contributes to group initiatives and problem solving efforts.
3 years of bank credit experience, required 1. Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to provide feedback and communicate with all levels of staff and management.2. Demonstrated knowledge of bank credit analysis, credit policy and guidelines, and commercial loan documentation requirements3. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant credit and loan documentation systems, with the ability to provide basic systems training.4. Basic knowledge of credit and financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.5. Ability to effectively mentor and coach early career associates who are participants in professional development program.6. Strong business acumen and solutions-based problem solving and decision making skills.7. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff for CoBank and CoBank customers.8. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build successful relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.9. Knowledge of bank policies, guidelines, procedures, processes and documentation.10. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
The typical base pay range for this role is between $77,950-$98,354. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
