Our award-winning, fully remote team is committed to helping agile businesses remediate risk quickly and innovate securely. Today, over 1,000 customers use Cobalt to run pentests on demand via Pentest as a Service, AKA PtaaS, a space which Cobalt pioneered (you could even say we wrote the book on it) and continues to lead. 

Description

We’re on a mission to hire the very best! With growing demand for our technology and services, we are looking for an energetic, unstoppable Demand Generation leader to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing against pipeline and revenue targets in enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments. You're a passionate, self-starter with a can-do attitude who will ensure strategic alignment with company goals and embed a performance-oriented, data-driven approach throughout the demand generation team. You're eager to jump in and get things done but don't get flustered in a fast-paced and often changing environment. You know the SaaS funnel but you also love setting a vision and selling alongside the field. As a senior, strategic, hands-on leader, you’ll partner with cross-functional leaders across Cobalt to build integrated, highly-targeted campaigns and programs that drive customer acquisition. This role will report directly to the CMO, is highly visible within the organization and will have a significant impact on Cobalt’s long-term growth. 

What You'll Do

  • Translate company objectives into a comprehensive demand generation strategy with corresponding pipeline metrics that grows our overall audience and engages, nurtures, and converts prospects
  • Own the pipeline number across all segments and lead detailed quarterly planning to achieve business goals. Work with marketing operations to define and set KPIs to track performance on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis. Manage weekly forecasts on the impact of campaign investments across a diverse set of high-quality marketing channels. Iterate quickly to proactively detect early successes and challenges, course correct where necessary, and optimize spend to achieve positive results.
  • Partner with marketing operations to build the systems, processes, and reporting for a data-driven approach to attribution in order to monitor not only immediate pipeline impact, but ultimately marketing-sourced revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create and refine customer segments/personas in order to convert product positioning and narratives into compelling messaging and campaigns that resonate with the target audience - generating new business and accelerating the sales cycle
  • Lead the definition, development, and execution of omnichannel campaigns that convey a cohesive narrative through both online channels (e.g., content marketing, webinars, emails, paid search/social, SEO) and offline channels (e.g., trade shows, conferences, event promotion, direct mail)
  • Manage demand generation budget to achieve overall growth and return on investment targets
  • Build, manage, and coach a team of talented marketing professionals across demand generation, digital marketing and web

You Have

  • You have 5-8 years of demand generation experience, in B2B enterprise software (cybersecurity preferred) with a strong, demonstrable focus on full-funnel pipeline creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • You are an inspirational revenue marketing leader with experience managing and growing high-performing teams. You stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in demand generation strategies.
  • You use data and insights to inform marketing plans, user narratives and programs. Above all, you have the strategic experience and creative chops to help drive world class marketing.
  • You have outstanding written and oral communication skills, including executive presentations

Pay Range Disclosure

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $143,200 - $179,000 per year equity benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
