As Vice President of Operations you will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization. In terms of business growth and improvement you will be expected to:

• Identify, recommend and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational performance, to increase operational efficiency, to improve safety and quality and to maximise use of resources and materials
• Ensure that the company has the talent and resources it needs to achieve its operational goals, that it maintains compliance, fosters a positive and engaged workplace, offers training and development, measures employees against agreed performance metrics and gives them every opportunity to be productive, to be fulfilled and to perform at their best
• Support the business in its endeavour to be the best at what they do, ensure they execute at the highest levels to create certainty of success for their clients and the team, hitting all deadlines and keeping projects on or under budget.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong emotional internal need to succeed, high standards, strong leadership and communication skills, excellent relationship/rapport building skills, and be detail/process oriented. You must also have expertise in multiple aspects of flooring and tile.

This role will be based primarily in the North East, with the requirement to travel to Boston, NYC and Hartford, Connecticut. The client is offering $170,000 to $220,000 plus benefits that include an employee stock ownership plan.
