As the leader for the Software Technology organisation, you will play a pivotal role in defining the software strategy and guide the engineering practices. You will oversee and manage the software development team and provide leadership and guidance ensuring the delivery of high quality work that align with our business strategy and objectives.

Reporting into the Chief Technology Officer, you will work with a variety of stakeholders across our global business.

Individual Accountabilities

• As the Head of Software Engineering you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team.
• Setting clear objectives and goals for the engineering in alignment with company objectives.
• Fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Own technology governance for application and solution architecture helping ensure the right solutions are thoroughly considered 
• Foster strong collaboration between engineering and other departments to ensure seamless product development and delivery.

• Own the security standards of the software solutions, ensuring the latest security standards are adhered to
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
• Drive the technical roadmap independent to product to ensure that the software continue to evolve keeping up with the latest standards, innovations and efficiency areas.
• Promote best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles across the engineering team

• Act as a technical advisor to senior management and customers on engineering-related matters

• Proven working experience within large scale engineering teams
• Experience in managing large scale engineering teams and creating a performance culture
• Background in developing software fit for enterprise level usage, SaaS experience preferred 
• Delivering software via agile software development methodologies

• Strong technical experience and a passion for getting involved in the details and demonstrated expertise in systems architecture with a robust understanding of key technical principles with in-depth knowledge of cloud, security, scalability, and system reliability
• Experience in application and solution architecture 
• A track record of strong execution and delivering results working with key business stakeholders to understand the product vision, customer outcomes and aligning the technology stack accordingly
• Driving clarity from high-level requirements and providing direction in an ambiguous environments
• Exposure to enterprise level customers a preference
