Coates Field Service, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to provide accounting support for our Corporate and Project Offices. The position will be located on-site in our Corporate Office in Oklahoma City, OK. The ideal candidate will have prior accounting experience, knowledge of payroll and payment processing, and be highly skilled in utilizing various accounting systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the CFO with completion of the month-end accounting close functions.
• Oversee the accounts’ payable function. Work with staff to ensure accurate account coding and timely payments. 
• Manage the corporate credit card tracking and payment process.
• Coordinate accurate submission and timely processing of multistate field payroll.
• Monitor tax and statutory leave requirements. Ensure each states compliance. 
• Manage and assist with various corporate treasury functions as needed.
• Perform other duties within the company as assigned; completion of various state registration and tax filings, unclaimed property reporting etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience. 
• Knowledge of intermediate accounting principles and practices.
• Effective communication skills required; both oral and written.

Computer Skills:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel (a must).
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics Great Plains accounting software a plus.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision accounting software is a plus.
