Coastal Shower Doors, a leading manufacturer in the shower door industry, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Drafter/CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a CAD Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of new projects, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency throughout the design process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and update 2D drawings and 3D CAD models utilizing Solidworks software.
• Apply mechanical and analytical problem-solving skills to resolve technical challenges and optimize designs.
• Demonstrate creativity and meticulous attention to detail in all drafting and design tasks.
• Independently manage multiple tasks and projects, adhering to deadlines and project timelines.
• Provide valuable support and assistance to Engineering and Manufacturing teams during various design phases.
• Communicate effectively with purchasing and vendors to acquire necessary processes and capabilities for new designs.
• Utilize expertise in metal extrusions and plastic injection parts to enhance design feasibility and efficiency.
• Maintain proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint), to facilitate effective communication and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Solidworks software for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience in providing support to Engineering and Manufacturing teams is preferred.
• Familiarity with metal extrusions and plastic injection parts is highly desirable.
• Proficient in computer literacy, including MS Office tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
