This position will report to the Corporate Director of Accounting.
What You Will Bring To This Role:
The Assistant Centralized Controller will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting and controllership functions for assigned hotels which are accounted for on a centralized basis. This would include providing accounting support to your assigned hotels, as well as, all month end closing requirements of the assigned properties and working with the corporate accounting team in supporting our portfolio of hotels.

What you Will Be Doing:
Processing, accurately verifying and coding invoices for multiple hotel properties. •Working with vendors and supplier to resolve discrepancies and/or confirm payment of outstanding invoices.
Posting/inputting invoice data into accounting records daily, and verifying accuracy of data posted for multiple hotel properties
Reviewing expense code allocations from chart of accounts on items on invoices.
Maintaining trace files for payment of recurring expenses in a timely manner
Preparing approved and signed checks for mailing in a timely manner (or as required by law).
Ensuring all invoices are filed electronically and original copies are maintained in filing cabinets.
Training and developing property accounting staff as needed.
Complete the “Month End” process including preparing journal entries for income, payroll, amortizing prepaid items, booking accruals and other items
Preparing an accurate Profit and Loss statement monthly. •Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
Train and develop accounting staff and department heads as requested.
Oversight/Payroll/Dailies for assigned hotels
All duties as assigned
Your Qualifications and Experience Would Include:
At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related hotel accounting or hotel administrative capacity; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related hospitality experience.
Excels in written and verbal communication with strong mathematical skills,
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and in particular Excel.
Possess knowledge of, and the desire to become proficient with company approved technology platforms including payroll, HRIS, POS, Payroll procedures, etc
Calm, professional demeanor, with genuine commitment to providing excellent service to both internal and external guests.
Interest and enthusiasm in learning and growing a career in hospitality.
