Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for individuals with wounds, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of wound healing progress.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized wound care plans.
- Perform wound dressings, debridement, and other wound care procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with current wound care practices and advancements in the field.
Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Wound Care Nurse or in a related role.
- Experience in various areas of healthcare, such as dialysis, esthetic laser treatment, ophthalmology, pediatrics, etc.
- Proficient in ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Familiarity with procedures such as spinal taps and workers' compensation laws is preferred.
- Knowledge of family planning and dementia care is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in wound assessment, treatment, and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding patient care.
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and monitoring of wound healing progress.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to provide quality care to patients.
