Coastal Gulf & International Inc is Hiring a Lab Administrator Near Saint Rose, LA
Responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. You will communicate via phone and email ensuring that all administrative duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
MUST be efficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Experience ordering office equipment is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner.
- Direct phone inquiries to the appropriate staff members
- Reply to general information requests with the accurate information.
- Greet clients/suppliers/visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner.
- Sort incoming mail, faxes, and courier deliveries for distribution.
- Prepare and send outgoing faxes, mail, and courier parcels.
- Purchase, receive and store the lab supplies ensuring that supplies are always available.
- Enters jobs and all related activities in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system. Retrieves information from files when needed.
- Trains new employees in using LIMS. Maintains electronic files using proper procedures.
- Tracks missing items from vendors when necessary.
- Reviews all work orders prior to sample arrivals.
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to management and other staff
- All other duties assigned by management.
- Management reserves the right to change job duties with or without notice.
- 1-3 years’ experience in an office setting.
