The CAD Department of Coastal Consultants, PC develops reliable easement plats, base maps, and as-built maps, especially for utility projects.

Duties Required:

• Create detailed design drawings using software such as AutoCAD / CAD, Civil 3-D
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements.
• Assist in the development of mechanical design drawings for various projects.
• Draft plans for structures.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations and standards.

Knowledge Base Required:

• Math, especially geometry and arithmetic
• CAD software competency:
• Required: Carlson and/or AutoCAD
• Bonus: ArcGIS and/or Microstation
• Microsoft Office software and common internet browsers proficiency
• Land surveying basic principles (preferred)
• Strong ability to draft and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Ability to read and understand land records (preferred)
• Evaluate the reliability of data
• Recognize conventional CAD layer naming systems
