Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description: 
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating maintenance assignments to optimize safety and reliability of production machinery, and facility/building maintenance. The ideal candidate must be confident in their maintenance skills with the willingness and ability to complete any repairs, with or without the assistance of a Maintenance Technician/Team. They are proactive in all department areas, to correct or prevent any foreseeable issues early, and to ensure all areas are running smoothly and efficiently.
Required Work Hours: 40 hours/week on call after regular work hours for emergencies
Responsibilities:
  • Plans and coordinates the company's maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) to maintain and improve the competitiveness and the profitability of the operation.
  • The Maintenance department takes care of all maintenance in our plant, our offices, as well as the rest of the Property of Coast Precast. This may include but is not limited to repairing the road, fence, mailbox, or plumbing in the offices.
  • Collaborates with the Operations Manager to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness utilizing continuous improvement techniques
  • Maintains, repairs, and installs the production equipment (electrical and mechanical), facilities and utilities in a safe and efficient working condition, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Performs and oversees minor and major repairs of all equipment and throughout the property.
  • Performs and oversees routine preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Performs and oversees minor electrical and plumbing maintenance.
  • Coordinates with purchasing on requirements and proper inventory level of spare parts and maintenance related goods. 
  • Conduct weekly stock reports; Maintain proper records of all stock and back storage equipment/supplies; Receive new orders of equipment and supplies; Issue materials as needed
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning components, systems, and apparatuses using testing tools and equipment.
  • Inspects electrical components to identify defects, hazards, need for repair or adjustments to ensure they are up to code.
  • Reports potential hazards to management and operations and recommends corrective actions.
  • Follows blueprints or prepares outlines to find out the location of equipment and wiring.
  • Dismantles defective machinery and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery for routine preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains good housekeeping within shop and all maintenance areas.
  • Trains and develops maintenance staff on standard operating procedures, safety programs, etc.
  • Creates an atmosphere of cooperation, enthusiasm, service urgency, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and professionalism among staff members.
  • Maintains records and oversees the performance of all work orders; processes and manages Workorders on computer via-Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Conducts timely meetings with maintenance team, sets weekly goals and provides with needed support to accomplish these goals.
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Requirements:
  • Required -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor working in a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish-Preferred
  • Must be extremely well-organized, excellent at making schedules, using computers, emails, and lists, with Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and Excel and the ability to learn a Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Strong emphasis on state and local safety regulations, safety compliance and training
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills
  • Proficient in all the following areas: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication.
  • Ability to read plans, prints, and sketches and use those to direct fabrication or repair.
  • Ability to work overtime, odd, and unscheduled hours as required and share on-call duties. 
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., to stand, bend or kneel for long and short periods of time, work at elevated heights of up to 85 feet and climb as needed, and walk up and down elevated incline catwalks and stairs.
