Description:

We are seeking a hard-working, reliable, and punctual warehouse worker to join our locally owned Co-op operation. We need someone who is self-motivated, able to prioritize duties to meet expectations, and works productively both independently and as part of a team. In this role, you will work outside in various weather conditions, in our warehouse, and in the store. This position is instrumental in loading/unloading and maintaining product for staff and customers at the retail stores to improve the cooperative’s efficiency and help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals.

Warehouse Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow daily stocking and rotational procedures for overall sight, in store, warehouse, yard and store front
• Politely greet and fulfill customer orders with attention to detail and follow receipt procedures
• Offload incoming freight trucks, verifying incoming loads against packing slips, report any discrepancies
• Safely operate a forklift to move, load and organize pallets and other large, heavy product
• Safely fill Propane tanks
• Managing/Containing freight until received through proper procedures
• Must prioritize workload and multi-task in fast paced environment, with excellent follow through
• Contribute to team efforts of accomplishing daily tasks, with ability to take direction
• Communicate to Purchaser when products are out of stock
• Obtain and maintain all safety training and certification necessary to position
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment including warehouse, yard and store front at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least one year related experience preferred
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule Monday thru Sunday
• Have excellent time management and organizational skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Farm experience/knowledge is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
• Ability to spend long hours outdoors in all types of weather
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and more at times

Reports to Retail Store Manager

Pay range from $16.00 to $18.00/per hour
