Angel of the Winds Casino Resort is Hiring a Janitorial Warehouse Technician (Internal Applicant) Near Arlington, WA

Starting Wage: $18.50

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily cleaning of the warehouse, sweeping and mopping the floors as needed, dusting shelving, etc.
  • Cleans the Mop sink/Laundry room, checking P & G laundry and Waxie chemicals, replacing as needed, servicing the lint traps on the dryer, inspecting and replacing the hose/nozzle 
  • Performs daily inventory of warehouse and storeroom supplies 
  • Creates stock requests for supplies weekly or as needed
  • Stocks maintains, and secures all storerooms with all needed supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains EVS carts, brutes, vacuums, sweepers, extractors, buffers, etc. by replacement of parts, electrical cords, brushes, belts, wheels, and other components.
  • Order parts and perform the repair of EVS-powered equipment when capable
  • Inspects and maintains all air fresheners in restrooms
  • Inspects, repairs, and stocks all chemical dispensers in supply closets 
  • Repairs grout, caulking, sealant, etc. as needed to maintain clean and sanitary conditions
  • Performs light-duty repairs to restroom plumbing; chemically treating/snaking drains, replacing flush valves, faucets, paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, etc.
  • Replace lamps in restroom light fixtures
  • Review equipment logs for usage, inspect all powered EVS equipment for proper operation, and replace worn parts as needed
  • Performs inspection weekly or more often if needed of all battery-driven EVS equipment, ensuring proper charging and battery maintenance
  • Works in a manner that will cause the least amount of disturbance to the guests, observing guest privacy and requests. 
  • Records and reports any major maintenance problems found to the EVS shift manager and EVS manager and submits maintenance tickets as needed for repairs.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
  • Performs special projects as directed. 
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service and communication skills required.
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • At least one month related warehouse/maintenance experience is required.
  • Previous experience operating equipment, including Lifts of all varieties and Forklifts.
  • General understanding of SDS, OSHA requirements, and biohazard clean up and disposal.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of floor care and cleaning equipment preferred.
  • Ability to become a Certified Forklift Operator and a Certified Operator of a variety of Mechanical Lifts.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license with the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA) and the State of Washington.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must provide a signed release allowing the company to obtain your driving abstract in order to show proof of good driving record.
  • Must be able to be insured to drive company or customer vehicles by the company insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required Operator Certifications including an Angel of the Winds’ Certified Forklift Operator’s License (ANSI Standards WAC 296-863 and OROSHA 1910.179) for Class I and Class IV forklifts.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis.
