**What you will do:**

* Facilitate people we serve in acquiring and practicing activities of daily live.

* Provide assistance in accessing therapy, activity groups when indicated by treatment team assessment.

* Support wellness plans and assist with access to community programs and services especially health care and dental services.

* Provide support in the event of psychiatric crisis.

* Promote decision making and participate in person-centered-planning (PCP) process.

* Share stories of recovery and assist with recovery and self-advocacy.

**What you will need to have:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Experience as a recipient of mental health services.

* Valid and unrestricted drivers license

* Must meet MDCH specialized training as Peer Support Specialist.

* Experience working with persons who are mentally ill in either a hospital or community setting preferred.
