DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: · Work with Global IP on PCTs entering CN national phase · Prepare and prosecute patent applications on inventions arising from early discovery programs in China · Advise and take a lead in patent reexamination and invalidation proceedings · Performs IP DD on local & global BD projects · Assist develop and implement good patent filing practices · Manage and work with outside council to implement corporate filing and prosecution strategies · Persistently partner, challenge and counsel BUs on opportunities to protect inventions · Manage, maintain and evaluate local patent portfolios · Proactively monitor, gather and analyze IP CI on related products JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Practical experiences with the Chinese patent system; demonstrated extensive and in-depth experience with patent drafting and patent prosecution in the pharmaceutical space · Familiarity with IP law trends and development, skills to search, analyze and synthesize patent information on pharmaceutical products; · Strong customer-service orientation to build and sustain good working partnerships with key stakeholders and project teams · Effective analytical, presentation and communication skills · Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team · Strong organization and time management skills with flexibility, creativity, resourcefulness to successfully prioritize and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. · Patent bar qualifications and an advanced science degree in the relevant field (life sciences, molecular biology, cell/gene therapies) Date Posted 12-3月-2024 Closing Date 30-7月-2024 AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
