Job Summary:

The Counter Salesperson will increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of products, by applying technical knowledge to satisfy customer needs. Additionally, the counter salesperson is responsible for warehouse duties including stocking inventory, maintaining accurate inventory, and correctly fulfilling customer orders.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sells & promotes the items and products that we stock – providing alternative suggestions to customers who request other products, and successfully converts initial customer requests to stock brands.
• Analyzes customers’ current and future needs to determine if they can be helped at the Counter or if they need to be passed to the next level of customer service / sales.
• Meets and greets all customers at point of sale with service, respect, and knowledge,
• Keeps and maintains a neat counter area and product displays.
• Stocks all material in neat and organized manner. Ensuring that material is stocked in a timely manner and in the correct locations.
• Fulfills customer orders accurately and completes second checking requirements to ensure material is delivered to the customer correctly.
• Pulls customer pick up orders including showroom orders.
• Process all customer returns called in and returns made at the counter.
• Works necessary hours required to work truck orders for delivery.
• Attends and participates in all meetings and events necessary for team success.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
