Driver & Material Mover

Our technology supports recycling at scale across an entire ecosystem including states with Deposit Recovery Systems (aka Bottle Bills) and Producer Responsibility Organizations or Brands who enable customers to recycle with convenient solutions.

We are hiring Drivers & Material Movers (CDL not required) to support our New York locations to transport customer bags from our retail locations to our Scotia, NY processing facility. We offer a consistent 4-day work week (actual days are flexible), with shifts beginning at 6:00am. 

Position Summary

The Driver & Material Mover is responsible for picking up customer bags from our retail locations using a combination of CLYNK vehicles. You must be able to safely operate any of the trucks we use and complete routes safely and efficiently. You will interact daily with customers and CLYNK plant staff. You will be the face of CLYNK and must represent our brand with professionalism. It is imperative that all drivers are mature, trustworthy, and dependable. You must be able to handle the physical aspects of the job, loading customer bags into trucks at the stores and unloading bags back at the processing facility. This job will require you to repetitively lift bags that weigh between 20-60 lbs.

This role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Load and unload your vehicle independently
  • Arrive on time for all shifts, ready to work
  • Operate our trucks safely and efficiently adhering to all state laws and DOT regulations
  • Follow daily run sheet servicing all stops, picking up allotted bag amounts at each stop
  • Log pickup volumes at every store
  • Load trucks efficiently to maximize capacity and minimize damage to bags
  • Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, reporting all issues to management or leasing company
  • Report kiosk or store issues to dispatcher or CLYNK help desk
  • Follow proper lifting techniques to ensure you are working safely
  • Keep truck in clean condition including interior cab

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class C license and overall clean driving record
  • Ability to load and unload your vehicle, repetitively lifting bags weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation to work prior to the start of each shift
  • Comfortable representing CLYNK in a friendly and professional manner to customers and store associates
  • Willingness to be part of a team and help out when needed

Helpful Experience:

Previous experience driving box trucks.
