Clyde's Fine Diner is an established small (78 seat) restaurant in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. We offer our customers a chef driven modern American menu from Chef/Owner Chris Hoffmann. We strive for greatness in food, beverage, and warm service. We have an established clientele and systems put into place for success.

**Job Summary:**

Clyde's Fine Diner is seeking a dynamic Front of House Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the front of house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth restaurant functioning.

**Duties:**

- Manage and lead the front of house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders

- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly

- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control

- Oversee reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist management

- Scheduling the front of house staff

- Monitor inventory levels for front of house supplies and place orders as needed

- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards

- Menu updating across digital and print platforms

- Cooperation with ownership to create social media content and posts.

-Overseeing beverage ordering

**Skills:**

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team

- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a managerial role

- Proficiency in Upserve POS or similar restaurant management software

- Familiarity with the Tock reservatoin systems or willingness to learn

- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a managerial role

- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and staff

- Ability to conduct interviews and make hiring decisions

- Understanding of hospitality management principles

- Basic cooking knowledge is a plus

- Passion for culinary arts and high end bar programs

- Basic computer skills
