Job Summary:

The Clubs of Kingwood is currently accepting applications for a Communications Manager with multi-channel marketing experience, excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to successfully work with a team in a fast-paced environment. 

Day-to-Day:

The Communications Manager is responsible for planning, creating, and executing all marketing for the country club. This includes Member event marketing, departmental marketing (golf, tennis, pickleball, fitness), and prospect marketing (external marketing). Everyday tasks include:

  • Write, seek, and design content that is consistent with marketing and brand strategy for emails, newsletters, videos, presentations, and social platforms
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to successfully promote initiatives to both Members and prospects
  • Communicate regularly with Club department heads to provide collateral and ensure adequate marketing support is provided to drive results (attendance, revenue, retention)
  • Work closely with onsite Member Experience Directors to market their events and promotions.
  • Engage Members in Club marketing via captivating social media content
  • Manage and coordinate multiple calendars, deadlines, and marketing systems daily. This role involves email marketing, text/push notification marketing, website auditing, social media marketing, and print marketing
  • Work across multiple degree programs and cultural contexts, including an understanding of how to adapt communication styles for different communities
  • Oversee updates, strategy, and management of the Club's website

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years of previous marketing experience is ideal; candidates with internships or demonstrated college experience will also be considered
  • They are highly organized and can thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship development – this is the hospitality industry – a love of people is a must.
  • Passion for marketing and creative thinking
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required, and 2 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or related fields or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in content development (writing newsletters, social media, updating websites)
  • Experience in marketing or brand strategy; create ideas to further an organization's reach and reputation.
  • Applied experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, creating video content, using social media
  • Knowledge of data collection methods to inform strategy
  • Knowledge and awareness of adequate marketing collateral and graphic design
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and drive results
  • Private Club, golf, or hospitality industry experience is a plus
