Assistant Housekeeping Manager
Reports to: Housekeeping Manager
Weekly Work Hours: Part time
Shift Times: Specifically, Sunday – Monday availability. As is typical to the hospitality industry, staff may be required the flexibility to work a range of shift times (morning, day, evening) and days of week
Pay Type: Hourly
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing staff requirement report for third party to ensure proper staffing
- Making recommendations and participating in decision-making
- Acting as Department Head when the Housekeeping Manager is off
- Liaising with other departments as well with third party staffing company
- Purchasing
- Creating inventory process
- Laundry transactions, include billing and inventory
- Logging found items in Lost & Found Log
- Ordering items and processing invoices (if assigned)
- Opening and closing of Housekeeping, specifically room assignments and cleaning
- Room inspection, minimum of 10-15 per day
- Inspection of public places to determine cleaning schedule
- Attending daily, weekly and other leadership meeting as directed
- Other duties as assigned
- Handles guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary.
- Assists in the review of guest feedback and guest satisfaction results with third party vendor. Sets a positive example for guest relations.
- Prior hotel supervisory experience
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management/co-workers, third party supervisors both in person and on the telephone
- Proficient computer knowledge
- Spanish helpful
