SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Finance Analyst is one if the finance team members responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records and analysis for costs related to Club Car’s manufacturing and operations in the United States; their primary goal is the recording and analysis of fixed and variable costs as to inform improvement of profitability and margin expansion in operations, and reducing financial waste. They will also identify inconsistencies and irregularities in operational costs and forecast the impact of such findings on Club Car’s financial performance. They will also support of monthly close and reporting within Operations, reporting and analysis on profitability in manufacturing, supporting budget planning and analysis, and related responsibilities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization rates
  • Perform general & cost accounting for the plants – track, report, and manage total cost of production across variable inputs and fixed assets/plant
  • Supporting, as needed Sourcing and Warranty, including warranty accounting
  • Provide analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly actual vs forecast spending for Engineering departmental budgets and project portfolio.
  • Monitoring unit cost variance at over agreed intervals/time periods
  • Implementing cost standards for materials and labor
  • Preparing cost of goods sold & production reports, and prepare analysis on factors affecting price/profitability of products or services
  • Reconciling beginning raw materials, in-progress, and finished-goods stock; completing and and analyzing inventory valuations
  • Analyzing business results, providing periodic reports with valuable insights and proactive recommendations re: resources allocation
  • Supporting month-end accounting closing and the preparation of financial statements and other operational reports as related to costs; assisting in related audits
  • Ensure detailed accounting in accordance with US GAAP and any applicable international local statutory requirements
  • Provide proactive consultation advice on all Cost Accounting and relevant Manufacturing and Supply Chain financial and operational matters to Finance leadership

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Club Car’s Finance Manager for Sourcing and Warranty, who reports to the Director for Global Integrated Supply Chain Finance, as part of the Global Finance organization/function. The role is an Individual Contributor, and has no direct reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related fields
  • Exceptional analytical and reporting skills
  • Exposure to ERP cost and financial systems, including Hyperion
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office modules
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations & reporting, including all key aspects of GAAP
