Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and preventive care measures
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care or a related field
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in coding and documentation practices
- Experience with discharge planning and care coordination
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures, ophthalmology, spinal tap, and workers compensation law is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
