We provide career management services and opportunities.Job DescriptionOur client is undertaking a major transformation in its organizational design to align its management structure, roles and responsibilities, processes, procedures, policy, statutory authorities, and the integration points of these elements to align to this direction. This project will undertake the implementation of this new organizational design.Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the organization in three specific roles/functions: 1. Plan and manage the Organizational Transition project. 2. Lead in the design and implementation of a Project Management Office that will support developing and standardizing on project templates, processes, and practices.3. Build internal project management capacity in the organization through acting as a coach and mentor with various project management resources. QualificationsRequirements-Related Degree, Diploma, PM Certification (e.g. Business Administration, Management, etc.)-Experience as a Project Manager for similar projects as described in the Description of Services-Experience in the implementation of Project Management Office (PMO), including the development of standards, best practices, processes and templates.-Experience developing and maintaining project charters and project plans with activities, timelines, critical paths and resource requirements as well as managing progress against the project plan for the project duration.-Experience working with project sponsors to develop a project organization structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.-Experience working in a rapidly evolving environment and being flexible and creative in response to changing requirements and priorities.-Experience establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all levels including high-level decision makers within an organization-Experience providing support for program management activities including the identification and management of cross project dependencies, identification and management of program levels risks, program level status reporting and program level resource management.-Experience managing multiple projects (including business projects), working in large complex environments, and leading diverse stakeholder groups.-Experience preparing individual as well as consolidated project status reports against established objectives, milestones, budget and resources.-Experience in communication, facilitation and presentation-Demonstrated experience mentoring junior staff to build capacity and capabilities.-Currently active PMP Certification as issued by the Project Management InstituteAdditional InformationYou can also view and apply for the opportunity here onhttp://www.cloudtrend.ca/Job/View/2775/Cloudtrend-Inc-Senior-Project-Manager-Edmonton-Alberta-Canada-Information-Technology-IT-contract-job-and-career?UrlRef=40When applying, please state the number of years of experience in your response along with your resume.
