Desktop/LAN/Network Administrator

Responsibilities:
· Plan, design, implement, optimize and maintain local and/or wide area networks.
· Serve as technical resource in multi-vendor telecommunication, LAN, WAN and Desktop environments.
· Diagnose and resolve telecommunication, LAN, WAN and desktop problems.
· Recommend LAN/Desktop implementation, operating procedures and maintenance procedures complying with MTA guidelines regarding safe-guarding data.
· Support telecommunications, LAN, WAN and Desktop administration; administer functions involved in LAN/Desktop network planning and installation.
· Interact with management, user community, vendors and professional organizations.
Qualifications:
· Ability to meet the demands of a large corporate WAN/LAN environment.
· Working knowledge and experience with router installation and configuration.
· Certification (MCSA/MCSE) for Microsoft and Novell Products.
· Installation and diagnostic experience with multiple vendors’ hardware and software.
· Working experience with multiple operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, Novell, etc.).
· Other telecommunication, LAN, WAN and Desktop administration functions.
· Hands-on technical experience administering Active Directory, Windows Servers, Microsoft SCCM, Forefront Identity Manager, SQL Server, Symantec NetBackup and Netmotion, HP Blade Chassis.
· Experience with system administration and management of Enterprise Software Applications and administrative functions.
