Job Description

PURPOSE:Perform & monitor all gauging & functional/dimensional checks to ensure we are manufacturing products within quality specifications per quality manual & alerts. This position monitors and audits Standard Operating Procedures in Quality SOP’s, operating and containment procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines to ensure execution of SOP’s, Work Instructions and notifies Help Chain when upset conditions arise or product does not meet quality standards. Audits manufacturing processes through checks of product in molding, scoring, lining, and printing. Auditing, documenting findings, including the above and in addition to defects and defect levels, electronic gages, and problem-solving issues. Will include operations of pull test fixtures in the lab, video microscope, Quick Scope and analytical balance, input of data, create charts and simple analysis. Enter data into Infinity QS & react to anything out of spec. Operate all gauges, understand lower & upper tolerance levels, how to read job sheets, fill out pertinent paperwork, verify all raw materials. Quality sampling, perform within standardized work. Follow all GMP rules & all FSSC food safety requirements.

• Perform daily housekeeping duties and audits.

• Communicate with other auditors/technicians/Supervisor in your area at shift change.

• Self-motivated; pulls Help Chain as needed to keep the process flowing.

• Able to train others, operate entry level packing & assemblies or liners.

• Ensure that (where applicable) the supply chain is made aware of their food safety obligations as our partner in the quest to deliver a safe product to the consuming public.

• Donning and doffing of Clean room PPE.

• Monitor process to ensure each machine used in your job is properly set up and assure adherence to operational procedures/standardized work.

• Ensure that all process control paperwork or computer entries are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

• Assist production maintenance employees in the repair of equipment as necessary.

• Confer with production manager, shift leader, engineering manager, and tool room employees regarding process concerns.

• Actively supports and participates in quality improvement programs.

• Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with all pertinent safety policies and procedures

• Maintain a professional, clean, and organized work environment.

• Participate in work-related training programs.

• Required to perform auditor role in any part of the CSI manufacturing facility.

• Appropriate PPE equipment/clothing.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferred.

• Experience with and is familiar with the inspecting process and quality standards, preferred.

• Must have above average communication skills.

• Must have a high attention span.

• Must have decision-making abilities and follow-up techniques.

• Must receive passing status on all pre-employment testing.

• Ability to identify all quality defects associated with a specific profile being produced.

• Must pass a defect training course and pass test with 90% or greater score on an annual basis; refresher training may be required.

• Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced, high-volume environment.

• Complete required paperwork & training in a timely manner.
