Clinical & Support Options is Hiring a Program Director, ESP, Greenfield Near Greenfield, MA

CSO is looking for a Program Director for our CBHC Emergency Services program in Greenfield.

Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs) are responsible for providing a full range of client-centered and family-centered services and interventions for mental health, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. CBHCs serve as an entry point for timely, flexible, person-centered, high-quality mental health and addiction treatment on an urgent and ongoing basis.

Our Crisis services offer clients behavioral health assessments, intervention and stabilization (for youth, families and adults,) 24 hour availability (7 days per week,) support from professional Peers, and are a preferred alternative to hospital emergency departments. We offer these services to all individuals regardless of insurance or ability to pay. 

The Program Director will provide daily clinical and administrative leadership of the program in collaboration with the Senior Program Director. They will supervise Crisis and CCS/Respite Program staff and/or supervisory staff and oversee program access and availability to families and to community agencies of the region. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director in day-to-day operations oversight of the Crisis and CCS/Respite Programs, providing assessments to clients experiencing a mental health emergency and achieving dispositions using the least restrictive services possible.
  • Provide or delegate administrative and clinical supervision of clinical and counseling staff.
  • Collaborate with other professionals providing services to Crisis/Respite clients.
  • Monitor staff scheduling to maintain quality services within approved budget.
  • When requested, conduct regular staff meetings in Crisis and CCS/Respite Programs.
  • Develop pre-crisis plans for clients who are frequent users of program services. Family members, significant others and involved providers will be part of the process if the client so chooses.
  • Collect, record, and distribute statistical information and generate reports as necessary.
  • Maintain and follow all program specific policies and procedures for Crisis and CSU/Respite Programs.
  • Participate in the Utilization Review Team and ensure completion of all paperwork according to federal and state regulatory standards/timelines and agency standards/timelines.
  • If requested, monitor compliance with managed care companies' requirements.
  • Provide annual staff performance evaluations for clinical and counseling staff and assist staff in establishing and achieving professional goals.
  • Participate in the agency's management team and participate in regular management meetings.

Qualifications

Clinical Master's degree with at least three years' experience in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families, and mental illness; independent licensure preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT); extensive knowledge of Crisis and Respite programs; at least three years supervisory and management experience; experience with Utilization Review and Quality Improvement. Excellent clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. Computer proficiency required including ability to work with email, electronic health record and word processing software.
