The RN Medical Surgical Director will be part of a large acute care center that offers many areas of care such as inpatient and outpatient surgery, emergency care, intensive care, cardiovascular services, maternal and infant care, general medicine and so much more! This facility is part of one of the top health systems in the nation and offers lots of room for professional growth with many other facilities and locations in the greater Orlando area. 

The RN Director Medical Surgical will oversee 70 beds and will have 80 direct reports spanning across 2 separate units. The Medical Surgical Director will be responsible for unit operations, maintaining a fiscally sound budget, and ensuring that your staff and department are operating at the highest level possible. The Nurse Director Medical Surgical will be an experienced nursing leader in acute care hospital Medical Surgical specialty. 

The Nurse Medical Surgical Director will be supported by two Medical Surgical Nurse Managers, multiple Clinical Coordinators, and an experienced Med Surg Staff Nurse team to ensure that all the goals of the department are being met. The Nursing Director Medical Surgical will report directly to the CNO and will collaborate with them on unit goals and initiatives.
