This Assistant RN Manager of Emergency will join an experienced executive team and help oversee this busy, level 1 trauma center ED during the hours of 4 pm - 12 am. This Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Charge Nurses, Staff RN's, and other ancillary staff in the department. Responsibilities include assisting with proper staffing, assisting with the hiring and orientation of new employees, help to ensure nurses and other staff are following established procedures and protocols as it relates to patient care, and participating in departmental meetings.
It is required that this Nurse Director have their BSN and an active RN NY licensure. Previous clinical experience in emergency services as well as previous leadership experience (charge, preceptor, coordinator, team lead, etc.) is also required for this position. A CCRN certification and previous level 1 trauma experience is highly preferred but not required.
