The Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department will work under the guidance of the Service Line Director Emergency, oversee 50 full-time employees, and supervise both clinical and administrative functions within their newly expanded and renovated Emergency Department. The Nurse Manager Emergency will have the support of Emergency Nurse Supervisors, Charge Emergency RN, and experienced Emergency Nurses.
The ED Nurse Manager Emergency will be responsible for department staffing, engaging in recruitment activities, assessing and appraising staff performance, creating training programs, enforcing departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, overseeing departmental budgets, and actively participating in several hospital committees.
It is required that the Emergency Department Nurse Manager provide a minimum of 3 years of experience in an inpatient Emergency Department leadership previously and possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, and provide a bachelor’s degree, masters being preferred.
