SUMMARY

Cares for residents in a nursing home, or other medical facilities, to preserve and promote the health and well-being of the residents, under the direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.

• PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists NHA/DON with daily operations of the facility
• Maintain and/or oversee the successful restorative nursing program for residents within regulatory guidelines
• Assist nursing department recruitment and retention, as well as the new hire process, especially for nursing assistants and licensed nursing personnel
• Maintains and/or oversees staff development program
• Participates in QAPI processes
• Could be subject to on-call status, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Assists with resident care as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

Must have, at a minimum, an OH Registered Nurse license, and two years of experience in a supervisory/charge nurse capacity in a hospital or nursing facility.
