Job Description

We are seeking an Information Security Compliance Specialist for a contract with option to hire in Denver, CO. In this role, you will provide critical security support by performing security system auditing and reporting, documenting and auditing adherence to policy and procedures, assist with critical industry and client audits, support and maintain critical physical enterprise security systems, monitor and manage information security incidents utilizing industry standard tools, and maintain vendor relationships supporting a high level of Information Security

Principal Responsibilities

Maintains a proactive approach to all information security matters in relation to managing all information security related systems, respond to alerts, support investigations and drive system change to continually enhance the organization's security posture.

Manage and perform internal and external vulnerability tests utilizing company and partner provided tools.

Evaluate and manage vulnerability and audit remediation items to ensure timely resolution meeting or exceeding company and industry standards for remediation time frames.

Research and recommend new security technologies working to continually stay current in respect to maintaining the organization's security posture.

Perform security checks, in partnership with the Operations team, both physically and virtually working with remote site management to ensure company data security and policy adherence supporting industry and client audit requirements.

Work with Information Systems team with monitoring and responding to all enterprise remote site Access Control Security Requests supporting new hires, terminated employees, change in access, etc.

Work with the Compliance team to develop new practices that will assist with promoting the importance of information security through the organization

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree within Information Security preferred or related experience and training required

2 years of relevant work experience

One or more of the following certifications (preferred):

· CompTIA Security

· GIAC Global Information Assurance Certification from SANS Institute

· Certifications in CISSP, CISA and/or CISM.

· Microsoft Security Certifications (AZ-500)

Knowledge of security technologies such as Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Enterprise Security and Mobility Suite, Qualys, Trend Micro AV products, MFA, MDM, MAM and other relevant information security related solutions

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Windows Server 2016/2019, Azure Virtual Machines, Windows 10, and Ubuntu

Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Office 365 Online suite

Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, ports, concepts, and practices

Technical background creating POAMs, developing corrective action plans, and writing security plans, policies, and procedural documentation (not just reviewing or performing documentation review)

Experience with vulnerability & patch management
