We are looking for an SSHO for a full-time opportunity in the Roanoke, VA area. The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel and property on construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the project's safety program
• Conduct safety inspections and audits
• Investigate accidents and near-misses
• Train employees on safety procedures
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations
• Communicate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and other stakeholders on safety matters

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16
• Strong leadership qualities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
