CLEVELAND MENU PRINTING is Hiring an UX/UI Product Designer Near Cleveland, OH

Cleveland Menu is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been serving the hospitality industry since 1930 and specializes in the design and production of high-quality leather, metal, wood and printed menu covers. We are a fast paced, rapidly growing organization that is looking for candidates with a proven track record of reliability and desire to grow with the company.

Cleveland Menu is seeking a UX/UI Product Designer, with working knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, InDesign and front-end web development, to work in our Digital Solutions department. This position presents you with the opportunity to work with a wide array of different brands / clients.

About the Job:

The UX/UI Product Designer role is important to the success of Cleveland Menu as a key member of our close-knit team. Come join our creative team, composed of digital project managers, product designers and senior front-end and back-end developers, who are dedicated to creating unique and intuitive software for our clients. You will work closely with several of our other departments including: Sales, Art Department, PrePress and Production.

In this position you will:

  • Implement InDesign menu templates into our online menu software using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Oversee your projects from conception to delivery
  • Deliver high quality designs on tight deadlines
  • Combine your knowledge of Adobe software with web development to create online menu templates
  • Work directly with clients to preserve their brand identity
  • Coordinate approvals and proofing process of menus with clients via email and phone
  • Provide input as to improve user experience on our online platform
  • Provide technical customer support via phone and email

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years graphic design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications or related field
  • Comprehensive portfolio of your design projects

Qualities of a Successful Candidate

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign and CSS
  • Proficient knowledge of HTML
  • Proven capacity to clearly communicate via verbal and written conversation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Passion for creativity and innovative design
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design fundamentals such as layouts, typography and design for both print and web with a desire to stay up-to-date with industry standards and tools

  • Advanced grammar and writing skills
  • Professional and exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
