As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform imaging through the application of non-ionizing and high frequency soundwaves for patients of all ages. Your primary duties will include:
• Performing ultrasound studies.
• Speaking with the referred physician regarding patients’ medical history to select proper procedures for diagnosis.
• Reviewing charts and previous reports prior to the exam.
• Educating patients regarding the procedures and equipment used to ensure comfort and understanding during exams.
• Monitoring appointments scheduled for ultrasound examinations and demonstrating equipment for staff and visitors.
