APRN PA II General Urology, Indian RiverFamily/ Adult/ Acute Care Certified
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
NO weekends, evenings, on-call.
The Cleveland Clinic Indian River Urology Department has an exciting opportunity for a PA-C or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team of extremely supportive caregivers, serving the adult population with our outstanding urological teams.
Duties/procedures involved include standard hospitalist duties (post-operative management, admissions, history and physicals, discharges, consults, triage and respond to emergencies) and assist the urologic team.
Experience APRN PA Preferred although newly licensed considered, especially with surgical or urological experience or clinical rotations.

APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to an APRN protocol and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems.
PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty medical care
(the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions within the collaboration agreement of a Physician, as per regulatory requirements. Performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PAs in the Hospital care role provide outpatient and/or hospital based care to patients (more than 50% of their time) with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Outpatient/Hospital care PAs practice in a setting that requires the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health problems.
