We have a job opening and are in search of a new team member! Our purpose at Cleveland Christian Home is to provide a safe and supportive environment for children, youth, and families who are facing mental illness, abuse, and neglect.
We are currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team at the Lorain Ave. Facility. We currently have weekend shifts available,

• Part Time Sat/Sun 7a-7p
• Part Time Sat/Sun 7p-7a.

Summary: The facility nurse provides medical and health services to children served at the Cleveland Christian Home.
Minimum Qualification:

• A minimum of an associate degree in nursing; or a bachelor’s degree in nursing
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in pediatric and/or public health nursing; or
• Licensed by the State of Ohio Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Essential Functions:

• Identifies and treats health disorders and provides medical and health care services that include;
• Physical health assessments
• Well-child care
• Supervision of medication
• Responding to physician’s orders
• Medication education to clients and their families (caregivers)
• Dispensing or administering medication, assisting with self-administration of medication
• Monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions
• First aid care
• Providing other medical interventions, as needed.
• Ensures the maintenance of all medical/dental records; ensures accurate, appropriate, and confidential department record-keeping.
• Records immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data
• Schedules medical/dental appointments and transports children as needed.
• Obtains medication approval; orders medication and medical supplies, as directed.
• Serves as a resource person on health issues.
• Instruct residents in health education as necessary.
• Provides training to agency staff on universal precautions and communicable diseases.
• Provides staff training on dispensing medications.
• Attends clinical and treatment team meetings.
