ACCOUNTING CLERK

We are looking for a skilled, experienced Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks.

Position responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. A successful accounting team member should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Attention to detail is a must.

You will be supporting the lead accountant of a dynamic and growing business. Exceptional skill with MS Office is desired and experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus. Excellent computer skills are a must.

Responsibilities

· Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

· Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

· Perform filing and general administrative tasks related to accounting department, record-keeping, operations

· Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements

· Reconcile accounts

· Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database

· Provide assistance and support to company personnel

· Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

Requirements

· Proven accounting experience, minimally as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, or Bookkeeper.

· At least 3-5 years of experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

· Competency in MS Office, MS Excel, databases and accounting software

· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

· Accuracy and attention to detail

· Aptitude for numbers

· Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks

· Data entry and word processing skills; ten-key a plus

· High school degree minimum

· Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
