Clearwater Living is looking to add a Property Accountant to our team.

Candidate will be intuitive, self-starters who possesses organizational skills and a high attention to detail while processing accounts payable and performing contract administration tasks. Candidate will possess heightened communication skills covering intra-department, along with internal and external customers, with an emphasis on teamwork.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for recurring billings, manual billings and maintain tenant data.
• Input monthly journal entries, adjusting and other reclassifying entries.
• Prepare revenue and cash receipts reconciliation.
• Prepare bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for monthly accruals and prepaids.
• Prepare monthly P&L fluctuations for operating properties (budget vs. actual, actual vs. forecast), etc.
• Perform basic financial analysis and research.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and monthly depreciation entries.
• Prepare monthly closing package.
• Assist in budget and forecast process.
• Participate in special projects related to accounting systems, internal/external reporting, and other special division and corporate requests as necessary.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 to 3 years general accounting experience.
• Senior Living experience preferred.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Property management experience preferred.
• Accounting degree is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter able to work within a fast- paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment with fixed internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles related to real estate accounting.
