Clearview Communities is Hiring a Facilities Associate Near Frederick, MD

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED required. Candidates will have at least two (2) years of employed experience in the areas of janitorial services and/or maintenance of facilities with an emphasis on electrical, plumbing, and repair technician skills. Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and their own insured vehicle. Background check and driving history required. Excellent, clear communication skills and attention to detail required. Daily use of a computer required; must be proficient. Experience working in healthcare or an educational institution preferred. Compassion for individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness is a fundamental requirement.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Associate is a member of the Operations Team and is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all CVC properties. They will perform general building janitorial duties for CVC administrative and treatment properties, as well as maintenance for all CVC properties. This position requires the ideal candidate to be able to work independently but also collaboratively. The Facilities Associate must be a “self-starter” and motivated to keep the physical operations of CVC and its group homes working seamlessly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities Associate will be responsible for the following:

1. Stores cleaning supplies in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

2. Arranges offices, communal areas, and group home living quarters as needed for use.

3. Maintains materials and equipment in a safe and operable condition.

4. Maintains inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies; works collaboratively with the Facilities Manager and Operations Director for re-stock.

5. Oversees the inventory of group home supplies kept at the CVC office, including cleaning supplies and bedding. Notifies the Operations Director when restock is needed.

6. Sanitizes equipment and materials weekly or as needed, relative to the equipment.

7. Performs preventative maintenance at all CVC properties.

8. Performs general building maintenance such as minor repairs and upkeep.

9. Plans the scheduling of facilities maintenance, repairs, and upkeep in coordination with the Facilities Manager and Operations Director.

10. Performs general, sometimes seasonal, outdoor maintenance at all CVC properties.

11. Performs janitorial functions that may include but are not limited to vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, dusting, sweeping, and mopping of floors.

12. Picks up, delivers, loads, and unloads equipment, materials, and supplies as needed.

13. Reports maintenance related issues to the Facilities Manager and Operations Director.

14. Conducts and documents facility safety inspections (monthly and quarterly).

15. Monitors the condition of CVC properties on a daily basis, repairing or cleaning as needed.

16. Participates in supervision with the Operations Director.

17. Participates in Operations Team meetings as needed.

18. Works collaboratively with the Facilities Manager.

19. Acts as a point of contact, in collaboration with the Facilities Manager, for contractors coming on-site to conduct repairs and routine maintenance.

20. Responsible for weekly trash and recycling management.

21. Interacts with residents, staff, contractors, and community members with a manner of respect and professionalism consistent with CVC’s core values and mission.

22. Maintains a clean and professional work area.

23. Maintains a work area free of potential hazards while working within CVC properties.

24. Performs all work to ensure the health and safety of all residents, staff, contractors, and community members.

25. Communicates clearly via computer, phone, and text during work hours.

26. Responds promptly to facility-related emergencies and/or requests.

27. Performs other duties as assigned, as is consistent with facilities and maintenance.

28. Attends staff meetings and completes trainings as necessary.
