What will the Corporate Controller Do?

  • Oversee the financial and accounting system and its personnel.
  • Supervise daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Reconcile the bank accounts for the dealership(s) on a daily basis.
  • Day-to-day entries, A/R, A/P, etc.
  • Monitor cash and floorplan balances.
  • Audit ledgers and work with accounting staff to correct any discrepancies.
  • Supervise the controls and measures to maintain company’s operating assets.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support business operations and growth requirements.
  • Prepare all taxes and filing forms for city and state jurisdictions as required.
  • Complete all required reports for corporate management on a regular basis.
  • Review, audit and analyze financial statements and give recommendations to appropriate corporate team and managers as needed.
  • Ensure the company’s financial operations comply with all company policies, acceptable accounting practices, relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide insights and process improvement recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Identify business situations and trends and translate them into financial impacts on the company.
  • Oversee payroll processing for all store locations on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What makes someone a great fit for the role?

  • Previous accounting automotive experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in finance/accounting business operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on quality
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Willing and able to lead a small/growing team.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Willing to adapt positively to a rapidly growing and changing company.

What’s in it for you?

  • $100,000-150,000 per year, based on experience

Salary/Pay:

  • $8,333-12,500 per month

Schedule:

  • Primarily Monday-Friday, regular business hours. But the role may call for some work to be done outside of regular business hours from time to time.
